Product Description

The 10Mbps Stand-Alone "Twister" Media Converter 2111 and 2711 makes it easy to link LAN media quickly and without adding to your repeater count. These compact devices are easy to use and install. An external power supply is included in each unit. The converter's automatic half-duplex/full-dup­lex operation is compliant with IEEE 802.3./802.3u Ethernet protocols to ensure interoperability with other Ethernet devices. The stand-alone "Twister" media converter offers users a reliable, flexible and cost effective means for integrating coax, Category 3, 4, or 5 twisted-pair and singlemode or multimode fiber optic Ethernet segments in either switched or shared environments. Take advantage of the extended distance supported by fiber optic technology. 10 Mbps singlemode links are supported up to 14 km. The 2111-15-01 is 10BASE-TP (supported length is up to 100m) to 10BASE-FL multimode (supported length is up to 2Km) Media Converter.
